National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Counselling processes is administered by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) along with other State-wise Counselling Authorities. The NEET 2020 Results are out on the Official Website. But, the National Testing Agency has not released the NEET Counselling 2020 (UG) dates yet. The dates are expected to be released soon.

For NEET Counselling, MCC takes care of 15 % of All India Quota (AIQ) Seat allocation, and the State Counselling Authorities will cater to the remaining 85% seats. NEET UG Counselling will usually be conducted in three rounds including the allotment of seats done to Central Universities or Deemed Universities or ESIC. NEET Counselling 2020 Eligibility

The Eligibility Criteria for AIQ seats and State-wise seats are different as listed below.

  • Candidates securing a minimum of 50th percentile in the exam are eligible for NEET counselling.
  • One should register on the MCC site within the stipulated date to be eligible for NEET Counselling 2020. This basic eligibility is applicable for both AIQ seats and State-wise seats.
  • For State-wise seat allotments, different criteria like past education credentials, nativity, and course nature (MBBS/ Dental) are considered by the concerned State Counselling Authority.

NEET Counselling 2020 Registration

  • Visit the official site for NEET Counselling
  • Click on ‘User Registration’.
  • Fill all particulars as per the NEET Scorecard.
  • Confirm, save, and submit the duly filled details to generate the Roll Number and Password from MCC before the deadline.
  • Keep the copy of the registration slip generated for future needs.

NEET Counselling 2020 Fees

On successful registration of the candidature for NEET Counselling 2020, login with the Roll Number and Password to pay the Counselling Fees (Includes both Refundable Tuition charges and Non-Refundable Registration charges) via Debit or Credit Cards or Net Banking option. NEET Counselling 2020 Choice Filing

After depositing the applicable fees, the next stage will be to lock your preference for seats during the counselling process. The steps concerning it are:

  • You can select from the dropdown list of all the NEET Counselling Participating Institutions.
  • This selection of the institutions is not restricted to any counts. So, one can make as many choices as possible.
  • The candidates can include and exclude any institution from the dropdown list before locking the choice for NEET Counselling.
  • Do remember to arrange the institution in the correct and prioritized order since that’s the priority given for the seat allocation process during the Counselling.
  • Fill and submit the choice before the deadline.

NEET Counselling 2020 Seat Allotment

As far as the seat allotment is concerned, it is purely done based on merit list prepared by MCC based on NEET 2020 Score and Choice Filling.

  • MCC will allocate 15 percent of total MBBS/ Dental seats by AIQ in public sector institutions.
  • MCC will be releasing merit lists and issuing seat allotment letters to the shortlisted candidates at the end of each round of NEET Counselling.
  • All the candidates getting shortlisted are necessary to report to the seat allotted medical/ dental institution before the last reporting date as per the Seat Allotment Letter issued.
  • For the other 85 percent of total MBBS/ Dental seats (excluding 15 percent AIQ seats) across Pan India, the seat allotments are done for both including both the governmental and private institutions through various State Counselling Authorities.

NEET Counselling 2020 for State-wise Quota Seats

The concerned State counselling authorities solely allocate 85 % of total seats based on the rules and regulations devised by both the respective States and MCC. The State-wise seat allotments are not only done for the Public sector Medical / Dental Institutions but also for Privately held Medical / Dental Institutions.
